Michigan Chamber-Folk artist Chris DuPont is proud to return to his roots, in celebration of the GRCC Music School's newly renovated music hall.
Chris is a GRCC alum, who studied in the Recording Technology Program, with emphasis in classical guitar. Chris' time at GRCC laid the foundation for his later work at University of Michigan, and his career as a touring singer/songwriter and studio musician.
With dynamic fingerstyle guitar work, a mistifying voice, and an ear for the cinematic, DuPont's music marries the eloquent lyricism of classic 70's Americana with the irridescent haze of dream pop. On the road he is accompanied by cellist Christina Furtado, and percussionist/synth-weilder Luke Jackson. Their ensemble draws influences from classical minimalism, folk/pop, and ambient electronic music, with a live soundscape as diverse and dynamic as their listening tastes.
